Jessica ‘aka REMO’ Saul
Mrs. Saul is the Founder of The Art of Stepping Foundation. Mrs. Saul, also known as the artist “Remo”, was given this name due to her being a “whirlwind” of continuous energy. Her artist name stems from her Latin heritage as it was derived from the word “Remolina“. Mrs. Saul is also the President & CEO of Remo System Inc. d/b/a Art of Stepping, which is a for profit, private educational services firm that is separate and unaffiliated with the Foundation. Under the Remo and Art of Stepping brands Mrs. Saul has trademarked and copyrighted her stepping & dance STEM/STEAM programs.
The Remo and Art of Stepping STEM/STEAM programs have received several awards for their focus on both fitness/health and education/enrichment. The Art of Stepping Foundation and Remo System Inc. received both awards below for taking significant efforts to assist in the fight against childhood obesity and the enrichment in mathematics and technology awareness. The following honored and prestigious awards received were:
- White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanics – Bright Spots in Hispanic Education under President Obama (2015)
- President Obama & Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition (2010)
Mrs. Saul is a native of the Bronx, NY and a proud mother, wife and self employed minority-owned business woman. During her career she had the pleasure of living and working in the vibrant & artistic West Village NYC neighborhood for many years. She is a graduate of the State University of New York at Albany and dedicated to giving back to communities in need!
Patrick J. Saul
Mr. Saul is presently the Co-Owner (Partner) and acting Chief Financial & Operational Officer for Remo System Inc. d/b/a Art of Stepping. Remo System Inc. is a privately held for profit educational services firm that delivers its services through award winning and trademarked & copyrighted STEM/STEAM programs. He also is a Partner and very active Board Member for the Art of Stepping Foundation since its inception in 2011.
Mr. Saul has an extensive background in (i) start-up financing, (ii) middle market deal structures in a range of industries and (iii) corporate finance & strategy covering broker-dealers, capital markets and mutual funds. Prior to Remo System Inc. Mr. Saul spent 17-yrs in the Investments and Corporate Banking fields. Nine (9) of these years were spent at a large private investment firm providing strategic financial analysis covering institutional & retail brokerage businesses. The remaining eight (8) years were spent in a front office capacity taking on roles of increasing responsibility part of middle market deal teams. During these years Mr. Saul was formally credit trained by two (2) bulge bracket banks and gained exposure to various industries & complex financial transactions.
Mr. Saul is a native of Providence, RI and a proud father, husband and entrepreneur. During his career Mr. Saul had the pleasure traveling all over the U.S. and working in Boston, Providence and NYC. He obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from George Washington University and a Master of Business Administration in Accounting & Finance from American. He has called NYC his home for over a decade and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Andrea Duhon, PhD
Born in Bogota, Colombia, Andrea moved to the United States at the age of 9. Andrea is a graduate of North Carolina State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics & Mathematics Education. She then obtained a Master of Arts in Mathematics Education from New York University and a PhD at Columbia University. She was a founding member of the Rho Chapter of Latinas Promoviendo Comunidad/Lambda Pi Chi Sorority, Inc. Andrea has been stepping in regional teams since 2003, and was a member of the National Step Team (2005-2010) and the National Stroll Team (2005-2009). During this time she served several positions including Step and Stroll Team Captain. She is an advocate for children’s growth and development through recreational activities, and a believer that given the right resources any child can be successful.
