The Sneakers 2 Succeed Campaign Will Donate Sneakers to Children in Need

Los Angeles, California – May 23, 2013 – Art of Stepping®(AOS) and the Chris Duhon Stand Tall Foundation(CDSTF) in partnership with Culver City High School is proud to announce the success of our Sneakers 2 Succeed Campaign in Los Angeles, California. The campaign collected over 351 pair of sneakers to benefit Shoes for the Homeless Inc. and the Culver Closet.

The Sneakers 2 Succeed campaign, or (S²), is a yearlong campaign that will collect gently used sneakers for children in need in various markets throughout the United States. AOS and CDSTF will secure drop off locations in each market with a 30-day challenge to collect as many sneakers as possible. At the end of every month, the sneakers will be donated to select national and local charities and organizations that work with children and families in need.

With the closure of the 2013 campaign throughout the country, we have totaled over 2,000 shoes. Since the inception of this campaign we have raised over 5,000+ shoes throughout 20+ charities locally.

Los Angeles, CA – April 16, 2013 - Los Angeles Lakers guard Chris Duhon’s Stand Tall Foundation (CDSTF) announces its 7^th stop of the Sneakers-2-Succeed campaign in partnership with the Art of Stepping Foundation (AOSF). This event will be hosted at Culver City High School – Wednesday, April 17^th, beginning at 9:30 a.m. The shoe drive will continue until May 4^th, and all shoes collected will be donated to Shoes for the Homeless and The Culver Closet.

The Sneakers-2-Succeed campaign (S²) is a year-long campaign that will collect new or gently used sneakers for children in need throughout the United States. The sneakers collected at this event will be donated to homeless children in Los Angeles. For every pair of shoes donated, a raffle ticket will be given out for the chance to win prizes and items signed by Los Angeles Lakers players.

The “Sneakers 2 Succeed” shoe drive will benefit the following local agencies:  Orange County Public Schools McKinney-Vento Program (MVP) and the City of Orlando’s Parramore Kidz Zone (PKZ). The official kick off will take place at the March 2^nd UCF v. Memphis Men’s basketball game.  Donations will be accepted at the game as the Knights take on the Tigers at the UCF Arena.

Sneakers 2 Succeed Campaign  is a project created by CDSTF and AOS which is an national initiative focusing on collecting new and/or gently used sneakers throughout the country to be donated to local charities. The goal is to help in the fight of childhood obesity through physical activity.

Durham, NC, February 18, 2013.  Los Angeles Lakers guard Chris Duhon’s Stand Tall Foundation (CDSTF) announces its 6^th stop of the Sneakers-2-Succeed campaign in partnership with the Art of Stepping Foundation (AOSF). This event will be hosted at Duke University’s Cameron Stadium – Saturday, March 2^nd, beginning at 12:00 p.m. prior to the Duke Men’s basketball game against Miami.

The Sneakers-2-Succeed campaign (S²) is a year-long campaign that will collect new or gently used sneakers for children in need throughout the United States. The sneakers collected at this event will be donated to homeless children in Durham.

Thanks to the partnership with Duke University Men’s Basketball program, drop-off bins will be set up along the entrance of Cameron Indoor prior to tip-off on Saturday, March 2^nd. A half-time presentation will take place of the collected sneakers along with any monetary donations thanks to the support of local businesses.

“It was only natural that we would partner up with Duke University and bring forth the Sneakers-2-Succeed campaign to Durham”, said Chris Duhon.  “Duke means a lot to me, and I am so grateful that we can all team up to help these children in need.”

The Shooting Touch Sabbatical Program, referred to as “The Basketball Peace Corps”, grants graduating college seniors the opportunity to travel the world and partake in a 10-month international work program using the platform of basketball to help foster education and influence positive social change in third world communities. Art of Stepping® is a national organization that provides interactive and exclusive curriculum based programs that teach stepping through mathematical formulas. The organization is owned by Remo Production, Inc. and founded by Jessica “REMO” Saul. AOS currently has operations in New York, Los Angeles, and Illinois.
