Sneakers 2 Succeed

 Art of Stepping™(AOS) founder, Jessica “Remo” Saul, is proud to announce the launch of the Sneakers 2 Succeed campaign in partnership with the Chris Duhon Stand Tall Foundation that kicked off nationwide on Saturday, September 24, 2011, where AOS participated in Nickelodeon’s 8^th Annual Worldwide Day of Play celebration on the Ellipse in Washington, DC.

The Sneakers 2 Succeed campaign, or (S²), is a yearlong campaign that will collect gently used sneakers for children in need. AOS and CDSTF has secured over 20+ drop off locations in 7 states. At the end of every month, the sneakers will be donated 14 national and local charities and organizations that work with children and families in need to help motivate our community: TO GET ACTIVE.

“The Chris Duhon Stand Tall Foundation hosts an annual basketball clinic every year which focuses on teaching children the fundamentals of basketball,” said Saul, “Art of Stepping is an organization whose mission is to fight childhood obesity and teach mathematics via the art of stepping. Both organizations teach children a ‘sport’ that require sneakers. It was only natural that we would partner up and create a campaign that gives children the opportunity to continue to build as individuals and leaders in their communities while enjoying what they love to do most, playing basketball and stepping!”
