Step/Stroll Coalition

Purpose of the Step/Stroll Coalition: Step/Stroll Coalition, under the direction of Remo Production, Inc., was created as a platform where the Latino and African American Fraternal Communities come together as one and move forward to ensure that we are represented in the largest form.

Mission of the Step/Stroll Coalition : Promote unity amongst Greek community members, Foster creativity amongst each other to help elevate the competition and Assist those organizations who do not actively have a step/stroll team in place by performing on campus.

History of the Step/Stroll Coalition: In 2008, the Step/Stroll Alliance was formed but it was officially established in 2009 and renamed as Step/Stroll Coaliton, under Remo Production, Inc.(RP) as an official entity, consisting of members representing the Latino and African American Fraternal Communities. Members from organizations such as Beta Kappa Psi Fraternity, Inc., Hermandad de Sigma Iota Alpha, Inc., Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Lambda Pi Chi Sorority, Inc., Lambda Sigma Upsilon Fraternity, Inc., Lambda Upsilon Lambda Fraternity, Inc. and Omega Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. came together to develop key components of R.I.S.C. - Remo Inc Step Championship (formerly known as Step 11 – Annual Summer Step Show) including qualifications, rules, performance and judging processes, etc. with the goal of further strengthening the Greek Unity between our communities.

• Lambda Pi Upsilon Sorority, Inc. since 2010
• Lambda Upsilon Lambda Fraternity, Inc. since 2009
• Omega Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. since 2009
• Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity, Inc. since 2010
• Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority, Inc. since 2011
• Sigma Phi Rho Fraternity, Inc. since 2011

Basic Requirement of the Step/Stroll Coalition
1. Organization must be a member of a Fraternal Greek Letter Organization.
2. Organization must either Step and/or Stroll and believe in the enhancement of the art forms.
3. Assign one (1) representative on behalf of your organization with experience in stepping and/or strolling and has influence on the direction of those art forms within their organization.

4. Must submit to Remo Production, Inc. an official written notification from your National Representative acknowledging and accepting your organizations support/participation in the Step/Stroll Coalition.

Lambda Upsilon Lambda Fraternity, Inc., Professional Greek, LLC, ProGreek Apparel
I first met Remolina (Remo) in the Spring of 2000 at my Fraternity's first IOTA Chapter Stepshow at Rutgers University. At that time, I saw the beginning of the Remo Art of Steppin' taking shape. From the audience, you knew that there was something unique to the style that was not seen before. I witnessed her Sorority's continuous accomplishments on the stage for years to come transition into a professional business dedicated to the community and urban youth. I was also involved with the Art of Steppin' from the inside as a member of Remo Production which proved to be one of the most rewarding experiences. Art of Steppin' gave me a special set of tools to use stepping to promote and instill the values of discipline, self-worth, personal expression, community/team building, pride and accomplishment into Middle and High School students. Professionally, ProGreek Apparel is proud to have Remo Production as a business partner. We have worked together on projects such as Artistic Confessions, Batanga, and the RISC Summer Step Show and look forward to continuing our existing relationship. My relationship with Remo and Remo Production has taught me the what began as a style developed into an art form. It is my belief that through the partnerships, coalitions, and expansion currently underway the Art of Steppin’ will quickly become a Cultural Institution. - Manuel de Jesus Cabrera
